HA2 Task 1 – Construction Analysis

The last of us

The last of us is an action & adventure/horror game

As you can see by the front cover there is a little girl and a middle aged man, it appears that the girl has a rifle on her back wading through what looks like knee height sewage or water.

The last of us is an action packed game consisting of zombies and other creatures.

The game is rated 18 which you cant see via the front cover but the title of the game is in bold white capital letters and is based in the middle/left.

The background doesn't look appealing to some users maybe but others might like it, from what the front cover shows us and judging by the title we can tell that there is an outrage throughout the map and there are very few people left.

With in the game I would expect jump scares and thing like that to happen seeing as though the game genre is horror, now considering its an 18 rated game I would also expect blood, violence and bad language with in the game. I wouldn't expect any sexual scenes in the game due to it being a horror.

I would say the target audience of this game would be girls and boys aged from 15-35.

Just Dance

Just dance is a simulator game

As you can see by the front cover of the game its brightly colored and looks very eye catching, it is completely different to the cover of the game "The Last of us"

Just dance is a family simulated game where you copy the movements of animated characters.

The game is rated 3+ meaning its suited for any age and is a unisex game. i would say this game is more of a family type game because it gets you up on your feet dancing and it will let you have more than one person dance with you at the same time.

The background is brightly colored which is very good for business due to the eye catching ability, parents would look at this and think it will be suitable for there younger ones would be able to play, which it would. As you can see they're is 3 characters on the front cover dancing to try and sell the product by advertising what the game has in stall for you.
