Quantitative Research
Quantitative research: Quantitative research is finding information by asking questions such as 'what is your favorite console?' or 'what is your favorite game?' its questions like that where the audience only answer with one word answers. this is good feedback for companies that want to know what people like and dislike about their games and how they can make it better for the audience.
What is quantitative research?
Quantitative research including surveys and customer questionnaires can help small firms to improve their products and services by enabling them to make decisions.
Quantitative research is about asking people for their opinions in a structured way so that you can produce hard facts to guide you. To get reliable results, it’s important to survey people in fairly large numbers and to make sure they are a sample of your target market.
Qualitative research: Qualitative research is finding information out by asking people questions but wanting them to go into to detail when explaining the answer. Such as, if i asked a parent or guardian a question like 'whats your sons favorite game and why?' that is the sort of question where they would have to go into detail to explain there answer and that's what Qualitative research is.
Qualitative Research
Qualitative research is designed to reveal a target audience’s range of behavior and the perceptions that drive it with reference to specific topics or issues. It uses in-depth studies of small groups of people to guide and support the construction of hypotheses. The results of qualitative research are descriptive rather than predictive.

Qualitative research methods started in the social and behavioral sciences: sociology, anthropology and psychology. Today qualitative methods in the field of marketing research include in-interviews with individuals, group discussions. Sessions may be conducted in person, by telephone, via videoconferencing and via the Internet.
Audience Profiling: Audience Profiling is finding out the profile of your audience before hand, so that you can put across your message to the right people in the most effective way, to produce the best result. It might include details like age, sex, educational qualification, work experience, financial background, field of work, interests, religious background, health condition etc. A good example would be if you were to create a game then before you would actually come up with a game idea you would look at what the best selling games are first and why they are. if you do the research then your game will have a strong chance when in competition with others.
